OSUIT Campus Police Department
The OSUIT Campus Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors on our campus. Our team consists of a Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police, a Sergeant, and full-time CLEET certified police officers. All OSUIT campus police officers have powers of arrest.
Services Provided
- Proactive Patrols: Conduct proactive patrols of all OSUIT campus roadways, byways, and interior areas of campus. OSUIT campus police also monitor alarms and video surveillance systems when not answering calls for service.
- Security and Traffic Control: Provide security and traffic control at parties, special events, and performances.
- Regulation Enforcement: Enforce regulations, take and maintain reports/records, and offer security audit/investigative services to campus administrators.
- Crime Investigation: Investigate all crimes that occur on the OSUIT campus and enforce state laws and university policies.
- Courtesy Services: Provide free courtesy vehicle unlocks and jump starts to students and employees vehicles that are on campus, and are available for escorts of students and employees.
